Slurp software reads whole websites (with wiki this often means many thousand pages) using multiple requests (50-100) at the same time. As this reduces the performance for all users, such attempts are blocked.
SlurpBlocking is an automatic ProWikiSoftware feature that limits users to about 100 request within 5 minute timeslots.
Unblocking is automatic when the request count goes below a certain limit for a 5-minute timeslot.
