Difference (last change)
(no other diffs, normal page display)
Changed: 7c7,16

So, has anything come out of FractalWiki yet? Questions I'm curious about :
* do people talk about different kinds of things at different scales / levels?
* how do people link between different levels? Do hyperlinks essentially "flatten the organization" so that the scale at which something started is essentially an arbitrary and not very important historical quirk? Or do people try to preserve the sense of hierarchy?

Helmut, one thing that worries me about your spike is the ease with which one can overcomplicate. It seems temptingly easy to create solutions to problems (like wanting a page in two subdirectories) by hardcoding a hack into a Context page: for example, to create a redirection; this quickly results in a complex and unmanageable pagespaces. I speak from a little experience here: my first FacetWiki? spike, Ubik, had such flexibility and, naturally, I used it. Then hated the result.
Obviously the best solution is to figure out a strong set of guidelines for a maintainable yet useful site, but I wonder how much overkill having a whole wiki on every page (sounds like an advert!) might be.
Just food for thought
