Page Redirection

Difference (previous author) (Change, Edit, normal page display)

Changed: 1c1,15
Describe the new page here.
To redirect a page you put a string
#REDIRECT <n>PageName</n>
immediately at the beginning of the page you want to redirect, let's say <n>"PageNameAlias"</n>. Now, when a user accesses the page <n>"PageNameAlias"</n>, he get's the page <n>PageName</n> instead with a RedirectionComment telling him that and how he was redirected.

Examples:
* PageNameAlias -- redirects you to the page PageName
** ThisWiki:edit=PageNameAlias -- edit the RedirectionPage to see how this is accomplished

See also:

* RedirectionPage -- the page that contains the redirection command
* RedirectionComment -- the text that shows the redirection
