The option in itself is not enough, because the cookie is only set when preferences are stored. So a referent that runs into the problem of SlurpBlocking should ask users to set the preferences as soon as the problem turns up.
The option in itself doesn't do the job, because the cookie is only set when preferences are stored. So a referent should ask users to set the preferences when start working.

This is a configuration option (UseCookieID=1) that extends the IP-number used by the ProWikiSoftware with the Cookie-ID. In RecentChanges you can see this as e. g. "148.96.48.120#1024". The "#1024" is this extension. This is necessary if there are a greater number of users from a subnet that share the same IP and would - as a group - qualify for SlurpBlocking, because of the request count they together produce. Two to four users aren't a problem, but a classroom full of users typically is.
