Programming languges used in the interface (client side):
* Javascript: ToolBar and WikiWysiwyg implementations
* Java: WikiWysiwyg implementations, content in form of applets
* HTML / CSS : not really a language, but a kind of coding in between

ProWiki uses the ProgrammingLanguage Perl but the programming style is programming language independent (see below).
This means that at some time in the future, when it is needed, maybe 2008-2009, ProWiki will be translated to a natively compiled language, probably to the programming language D - if it is fully functional then - or otherwise to good old C.
