The position of this directory can be chosen arbitrarily by the server admin. It is suggested to keep it outside of the directories that have web / Apache access for safety. It must be specified in the ServerCfg file so that the ProWiki script knows about it. This is explained in the INSTALL instructions that are part of the distribution.
The position of this directory can be chosen arbitrarily by the server admin. It is suggested to keep it outside of the directories that are subject to web / Apache access for safety. The path of the ExecutablesDir must be specified in the ServerCfg file so that the ProWiki script knows about it. This is explained in the INSTALL instructions that are part of the distribution.

The ExecutablesDir is a directory for holding executables that may be called by the ProWiki script. Examples are executables from RCS (which must be installed to make the PageArchive work) or the TeX subsystems (which is optional, to render mathematical formulas).
