No-one wants to look the same like many other people around. No-one wants that his website looks uniformly like many other sites in the web. So why should it be different with wikis?
In fact, whatever you do with your wiki - except perhaps if you use it as a closed private PersonalWiki workspace - you will always want to attract readers and authors by a unique concept and an individual system that is interesting and looks different. A system should be built that users can identify with and in which they will like to participate.
