Option /
Group

Difference (previous author) (Change, Edit, normal page display)

Changed: 1c1,21
Describe the new page here.
The Option Group defines a UserGroup by giving a name to the group and providing a list of individual users and groups. There is no restriction to do this Recursively.

Syntax:

* [[green]group].[[yellow]groupname]=[[blue]list of users and groups]

Examples:

* group.PROJECTXYZ=<n>PeterSmith HelmutLeitner ThomasBalin group.ABC</n>
* group.ABC=group.A group.B group.C

Example use:
* status.for.edit=group.ABC
* status.for.read=group.PROJECTXYZ <n>AnotherUser</n>

=== Technical note ===

There is a guard against an endless loop which could be constructed when a group includes itself directly or indirectly. But, as you probably will not believe me, please test it. -- HelmutLeitner May 9, 2006 8:25 CET
